 | United for Social Justice | | The Wisconsin Alliance for Women’s Health seeks to bring together non-traditional partners in the struggle for equitable health care for women. Committed to the ideals of empowerment, social justice and equal access, individuals and organizations can get involved at the local and state level to work toward these common goals.
Understanding that clergy seek to provide spiritual guidance and support to all members of the congregation, the Wisconsin Alliance for Women’s Health hopes to promote policies and programs that make a breadth of healthcare and reproductive choices available to all women. Healthy women and healthy families are indispensable tenants of healthy congregations.
Because the faith community encompasses a wide array of beliefs concerning reproductive health and family planning, the Wisconsin Alliance for Women’s Health seeks to secure a voice for each denomination in public debate and prevent one religion from speaking for all communities of faith or the enactment of legislation that imposes the belief of one faith on the state as a whole. |
